Tabasco
Tabasco Pepper ist eine Vielzahl von Chili-Pfeffer von der Art Capsicum Frutescens. Wie alle C. Frutescens Sorten hat die Tabasco-Pflanze einen typische buschigen Wuchs, der kommerziellen Anbau stärker macht. Die konische Früchte, etwa 4 cm lang, sind zunächst blass gelblich-grün und gelb und Orange vor der Reife bis leuchtend rot. Tabascos bewerten von 30.000 bis 50.000 SHU und sind die einzige Sorte der Chili-Schote, deren Früchte (d. h. sind „saftig“ Sie sind nicht trocken an der Innenseite).
Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Schüttelfrost Tabasco Früchte erwachsen werden, anstatt von ihren Stielen herunterhängende. Die Paprika sind nach mexikanischen Bundesstaat Tabasco benannt. Wächst in Mittel- und Südamerika, wo das Wetter und der Verfügbarkeit von mehr Ackerland eine berechenbare und größeren ganzjährige Versorgung mit Paprika ermöglichen. Dadurch auch die Versorgung von Paprika, etwas zustoßen sollte die Ernte an einem bestimmten Ort.
